Pakistan reiterates commitment to resume dialogue process with India

Islamabad (PPI): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tuesday reiterated Pakistan's commitment to resume dialogue process with India. Talking to newsmen here, he said dialogue is the only way forward to improve relations between the two countries. Foreign Secretaries of Pakistan and India will meet before annual session of United Nations General Assembly. On sharing of information at the level of the agencies of both countries, Qureshi said engagement at any level is possible. He said Pakistan and India have a joint mechanism for sharing information and fighting terrorism and this could be11 Mumbai incident, Foreign Minister s aid Pakistan has received answers to its queries and these will be referred to the Interior Ministry. On acquisition of nuclear submarines by India, he said Pakistan has taken serious notice of this development and is fully aware of its defence needs. He felt both Pakistan and India are victims of terrorism and cooperation in the fight against this menace was need of the hour. Qureshi said there is ``no external pressure regarding trial of former President Pervez Musharraf. Parliament is independent and sovereign and whatever decision it takes, the Government will accept it.''
