KARACHI (PPI): The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) will move the courts to get vacated 161 buildings in Karachi, declared dangerous by the KBCA, as owners of many of these buildings ad got stay orders from courts. In this regard KBCA chief controller Manzoor Qadir has the legal section of the authority to take required measures to move the courts. The committee on dangerous buildings and concerned town building officers have been asked to provide necessary documents to the legal section of KBCA so that the courts could be informed about their status. He said timely action to get these dangerous buildings safely vacated could save the precious human lives. The KBCA has also appealed the residents of these dangerous buildings to voluntarily vacate them at the earliest. It also appealed the general public to play their due role in this regard, and inform the KBCA about violation of building rules and use of substandard material in any building, especially in the congested residential areas.
