IMC hosting 2nd National Auto Journalists Awards

Nawabshah (PPI): Indus Motor Company (IMC) is to host Pakistan's 2nd National Auto Journalists Awards (NAJA) 2009 on August 6, 2009 at a local hotel in Karachi. This year's awards follow the success and popularity of the 1st National Auto Journalists Awards held last year. Ms. Shazia Marri, Minister for Information, Government of Sindh will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Nominations for 2nd NAJA 2009 have been short listed from publications over the course of last year, and have been judged, on a number of criteria, by an independent jury comprising of senior journalists, auto industry professionals and mass media academics. Initiated by IMC, the National Auto Journalists Awards primarily aim to acknowledge the efforts of journalists working in the local media for the coverage and analysis of the auto sector. The awards are aimed at giving recognition to auto reporting, enhancing the quality of professionalism in this field, and encouraging capacity building in line with modern reporting methodologies practiced internationally.
